So I rode a bicycle, not to disobey no! just do this inside, it was raining so i had a serious excuse that day, only in one wrong move i jostled the table and the fruit bowl and everything rolled on the floor and broke, again i was punished.
Paule, my mother had an indulgent severity, the punishment was the removal from the family circle and the words (this would never end the repeated nonsense) accompanied me until my exile.

What is disturbing is that on October 16, 2020, leafing through the pages of a book by VLADIMIR NABOKOV, Details of a 1924 sunset, he recounts an identical scene which he experienced during his childhood.

Had my mother read the book and been inspired by this sentence, or is it chance…..
This reading put me back in the context of my childhood and of the painting, we had the same scene without the bicycle, I had everything there, the scene, the coincidence, the story, MR NABOKOV had just given me the title and also remind me of the story.
